i bless the rains down in africa

In addition to providing the inspiration and title for Toto's #1 hit song, Africa is also the second largest continent in the world and the site of Brian's architectural thesis project where he was researching sacrosecular effects of a 21st century church in Nairobi.

Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, and crunchy sprinkles for the terrain effect:

Happy birthday Brian!

Also, because I like to make lists, I can now cross Africa off my List of Continent Cakes. So far I have done:

1) Africa for Brian's birthday.
2) Australia (Australian Outback and Survivor's Colby) for Mrs. J's birthday years ago.
3) Antarctica for a 6th grade project (unfortunately no photo at the moment but I'll search for one next time I'm home). The assignment was to make a map of Antarctica. I could have done something like this. But I made a cake. Foreshadowing? I think so.
4)  Technically, I covered North and South Americas in the atlas cake from 2 summers ago.

So I just have to do Europe and Asia (or Eurasia - you never know) and I will have conquered the world.
